Villa Oltremare is only a few minutes walk from Lake Liscia and is a perfect option for couples looking for a traditional summer holiday.

This lovely villa, sits in a spacious flower-filled garden with lawned areas set between dramatic granite rocks, all surrounded by mature trees and glimpses of the neighbouring countryside. A built-in barbecue under a wooden pergola is adjacent to the swimming pool which has a paved terrace – the perfect spot from where to enjoy the garden and the views through the trees to the nearby hills. The large kitchen/diner opens on to the garden and leads through to the sitting room, with a massive stone fireplace and an arched window looking out over the garden and pool.

There are two downstairs bedrooms, one double with en-suite and a twin (or double) with stunning painted headboards. Exposed beams, whitewashed walls and country-style furniture all add to the villa’s charm. In the quiet Gallurian countryside, a short walk down a country lane will lead you to Lake Liscia surrounded by ancient oaks, Mediterranean macchia, holly oaks and arbutus.

This really is a great base from which to explore the region and neighbouring Tempio, in particular their colourful festivals and local wineries, as well as the beautiful beaches of the Costa Smeralda. The huge, ancient olive trees, in the village of Luras, just 20-minutes away, are also worth a visit, the oldest being over 4,000 years old.
