Located next to Lu Triuzzu in the beautiful Galluran countryside, this five-bedroom villa is a popular choice particularly with groups and extended families.

Built on a rocky slope, this large property is set over two floors, each being almost self-contained from the other by a staircase and a dividing door making the first floor suitable for a smaller family or a group on their own.

The upper floor features a large open-plan area housing a prominent engraved stone fireplace and comfortable soft furnishings, a well-equipped kitchen and two double bedrooms. The lower floor comprises an open lounge/dining/kitchen area and three bedrooms. With great attention to detail, high ceilings and many personal touches throughout, Villa Maria provides a genuine home-from-home and a real sense of space. Outside, there are a number of terraces and balconies surrounding the villa, and ample sunloungers around the pool for guests to relax and take in the scenery.

For those who can tear themselves away, the glorious beaches dotted along the Costa Smeralda are within a few minutes’ drive, whilst the traditional village of San Pantaleo can be found at equal distance in the opposite direction.

About the Local Area

ABOUT AREA

Santa Teresina is tucked away between the glorious coastline of the Costa Smeralda and the dramatic country hills of the Gallura, only a few kilometres away from Porto Cervo. Set in the heart of the Costa Smeralda, Porto Cervo is an up-market centre of indulgence. It is located around two yacht harbours on the north side of this dazzling stretch of coastline, and being the main resort of the area and a paradise for the jet-set, it’s definitely worth a visit. Set in the heart of the resort and lined with cafés, bars and restaurants, the "Piazzetta" is the perfect spot to lounge in style - it is the place to see and be seen. An evening stroll along the quay is also a must, with designer boutiques on one side, and luxury yachts lining the marina on the other. The posh boutiques selling fashionable designer goods such as Gucci, Versace, Prada & Hogan continue the trail throughout the pastel coloured maze of grotto-like shopping arcades within the resort. Italian architect Michele Busiri Vici designed this grotto-like creation and has a strong presence within Porto Cervo, having also designed the Stella Maris church. Elevated and situated in a craggy edge of the land, to the west of the centre, the church is something of an art deco landmark that overlooks the comings and goings of the town.

BEACHES

Tanca Manna
Tanca Manna sits approximately 250 metres from the road behind a saltwater lake. It has a great stretch of sand and plenty of facilities for families. A kilometre beyond Tanca Manna is Barca Bruciata, a small sandy beach which is quiet with no facilities.

Cala Capra
Cala Capra beach just beyond Golfo delle Saline is a pretty sandy bay tucked beneath the impressive Capo D’Orso headland with its distinctive bear shaped weathered rock.

Capriccioli
The Capriccioli headland has five beautiful small sandy beaches. There are facilities for boat hire and also a bar close to the beach. These beaches, including La Celvia, are amongst the most popular in the area.

Spiaggia del Principe
Rather off the beaten track is the Spiaggia del Principe which cannot be reached by car. The last stretch has to be done on foot takes under 10 minutes and is well worth the effort.

Liscia Ruia
An extensive sweep of white sand set down a long unsurfaced road.

Piccolo Pevero
Piccolo Pevero is a small sandy beach with parasol and boat hire. It also has a restaurant (“Il Pulcino”) and a bar.

Pitrizza
The Pitrizza beach at Liscia di Vacca just north of Porto Cervo is also popular.
