More about the region:
There are many sites worth visiting in the area – get lost in the narrow lanes of Cagliari’s Citadel and enjoy majestic views over the city, sea, and mountains from one of the many café terraces. This part of town also offers a fantastic collection of museums, archaeological remains and historic churches. Or for a lazy day out, head for Poetto beach – a 6km stretch of white sand lined with funfairs, bars and pizzerias, and very popular in the summer with the locals.
Sardinian Places offers a selection of accommodation in the South of the island such as the two-bedroom villa Casa del Sole in Quartu Sant’Elena.

Situated in a residential area only a short drive away from Cagliari, Casa del Sole is a new addition to Sardinian Places’ programme and provides the perfect opportunity to explore Southern Sardinia from a very own home-from-home.
The house itself is a mix of traditional features, personal touches and modern facilities, striking the right balance between being quaint and comfortable. Arranged on the one floor with an open plan living area and two bedrooms, the villa would particularly appeal to a couple or small family.
Facilities include a private pool and covered terrace with wonderful views and built-in barbecue.
