The Hotel Stella Maris provides a romantic choice for beach lovers thanks to its prime position on the bay of Campulongu.

Fronting one of the many splendid beaches of Villasimius, the Hotel Stella Maris has direct access to the dazzling white sands and crystal clear waters.

The entrance to the hotel is via a long sandy track lined by pine trees, which adds to the charm and intrigue of this stylish resort. Built in a rectangle, the bedrooms are furnished to a high standard, each with privacy and comfort in mind and with stunning views overlooking the pinewood or the sea. The décor is tasteful and chic with warm pastel shades and modern furnishings adorning the lounge, bar and reception areas. There are two restaurants offering first class local cuisine, one indoor and one outdoor with lovely sea views – a perfect and romantic setting from which to watch the sun go down. There’s also a great selection of fine regional wines which complement the flavours of the chef’s specialities and local delicacies.

A split level swimming pool leads down to the pristine beach just in front of the hotel, which is well equipped with sunbeds and sun shades. The hotel’s pretty gardens with manicured lawns, cobbled paths and colourful flowering shrubs and palms also provide an attractive spot to unwind.

The tranquillity and ambience of Hotel Stella Maris makes this a good choice for couples and a great base for a relaxing break within easy distance of Villlasimius.

About the Local Area

ABOUT AREA

Villasimius is a small town that comes alive during the summer months. The town provides a friendly and lively holiday base, with plenty of restaurants and bars, its streets thronged with families for the traditional evening stroll. As is the case of most 'coastal' towns, Villasimius is about 2km inland - continued invasion from the sea over the centuries pushed the Sardinian population inland. This whole area is blessed with some outstandingly beautiful long sandy beaches and crystal clear seas which are almost tropical in their brilliance.

BEACHES

Costa Rei
The Costa Rei consists of a long ribbon of beaches west of Villasimius, offering excellent swimming from flawless sandy beaches interspersed with secluded coves.

Porto Sa Ruxi
West of Villasimius lies the beautiful stretch of white sand known as Porto Sa Ruxi with gently shelving crystal clear waters.

FESTIVALS

Easter - Various locations
Costumes, processions and intense drama are the main ingredients of Sardinia's various festas commemorating Easter.

Sant’ Efisio - Cagliari - May

Sagra delle Ciliege - Burcei - June

Sagra delle Pesche - San Sperate - July
