About the area
Located in the beautiful bay of San Teodoro, Puntaldi is set around a pretty tourist marina on the eastern coast of Sardinia, 20km south of Olbia. The Marina has a choice of restaurants, pizzerias, cafes bars and a mall supermarket and the nearby town of San Teodoro is a lively tourist resort. The seascape of this area is dominated by the huge limestone outcrop of Tavolara Island.
The area has some of the mot famous beaches in Sardinia.
La Cinta - Perhaps the most famous beach in the area and accessible on foot from Puntaldia. 3kms of fine white sand and clear blue water that lead to the town of San Teodoro on the southern side of the beach. The lagoon behind the beach is a famous birdatching area with pink flamingos and herons.
Lu Impostu - Fine white sandy beach with crystal cler water. 2km stetch of sand with a back drop of juniper trees.
Brandinchi - Also known locally as 'Tahiti' beach because of the fine white sand and turquoise waters, dominated by the view of Tavolara island.
