This beautiful two bedroom house is ideal for couples or families.

Positioned on the hillside of the Costa del Sud, Casetta Maria is a charming small house with views across the Mediterranean and is in a convenient location for a beach holiday: it is only a short stroll away from Sa Pinnetta, a secluded bay lapped by beautifully clear water.

The house itself is set in its own immaculate garden with an array of trees, flowers and plants giving the  property a sense of privacy despite being in a residential area, and providing a welcome retreat for those who wish to escape the sun and the beach for a time. The covered terraces at the front and rear of the property provide an ideal setting for al fresco dining with comfortable sunloungers, a dining suite and a built-in barbecue.

Inside, Casetta Maria is simple and practically designed and would ideally suit a couple or a small family looking for a base from which to explore southern Sardinia.

About the Local Area

ABOUT AREA

Chia is a popular holiday spot with a handful of amenities and a couple of restaurants. The area attracts water sports' enthusiasts particularly kite and windsurfers whilst the sea is often dotted with yachts.

BEACHES

Chia
Chia is a dazzling beach and is perfect for those who love long sandy beaches. This idyllic beach, recently voted the 5th best destination for a beach holiday in Europe, has fine sand and is fringed with sand dunes. There are a growing number of ice cream booths which have appeared over the years where you are able to buy refreshments. Unfortunately this is a beach to avoid when the mistral wind blows as the sand is swept across the beach at very high speed and can be quite painful! There are facilities here to hire windsurfs and sea kayaks.

Nora
Nora beach is a pleasant sandy beach which extends south of the Roman ruins of Nora. A popular destination for the town folk of Pula, it can be crowded during the hottest months.

St Margherita
St Margherita is a long sandy beach with good facilities if you want to hire a speed boat or a sea scooter.

FESTIVALS

Easter - Various locations
Costumes, processions and intense drama are the main ingredients of Sardinia's various festas commemorating Easter.

Sagra delle Ciliege - Burcei - June

Sagra delle Pesche - San Sperate - July
Peach festival held on the feast of the town’s patron saint.
