Cala Goloritzé - #1 in the world!
It’s no surprise that Cala Goloritzé took the top spot for the best beach in the world. A real treasure of the Baunei Coast, marking the halfway point between Costa Smeralda and the South, this stunning sanctuary was declared a natural monument in the 1990s, helping to preserve its beauty. For this reason, there is limited access with restricted tickets sold daily, keeping it unspoiled from mass tourism. There are no sunbeds or vendors, just the sound of shimmering turquoise waters lapping against the powdery sand. With an infamous 143-metre limestone pinnacle dramatically rising from just inland of the beach, Cala Goloritzé is an unforgettable jewel of the Mediterranean. Just a 30-minute drive from this stunning beach is Lanthia Resort, a small and charming hotel in the unspoilt Ogliastra countryside.

La Pelosa - #8 in Europe
Renowned for its iconic 16th-century Aragonese watchtower, La Pelosa is a popular destination for those who enjoy stunning views surrounded by azure waters, located on the northwestern tip in the Alghero region. Despite its popularity, this shoreline preserves its serenity and natural beauty, as the soft, white sand and clear waters resemble that of a tropical lagoon. It’s the perfect location for swimming, sunbathing, or even enjoying an ice-cold cocktail. Be sure to purchase a mandatory straw mat to tuck under your beach towel, as this helps to protect the sand and preserve the beach’s natural beauty. La Pelosa certainly does get busy, so visiting in the morning or evening is a great way to enjoy its tranquillity!
If this gorgeous coastline is your dream holiday destination, then why not stay in one of our stunning seaside apartments, such as Capo Falcone Charming Apartments? Located in Stintino, this contemporary apartment complex is under 500m away from La Pelosa, making it super accessible for the perfect beach day.

Cala Brandinchi - #26 in Europe
Nestled along Sardinia’s northeastern coast, the sweeping sands of Cala Brandinchi are truly a pocket of tropical paradise. The water is crystal-clear and inviting, perfect for a paddle to cool off after sunbathing. Unsurprisingly, this stunning shoreline has been nicknamed ‘Little Tahiti’, thanks to its white powdery sand and pine tree-dotted dunes. Because of its sublime beauty, Cala Brandinchi is extremely popular, especially between July and August in peak season. If you want to enjoy this slice of serenity slightly more privately, we recommend coming early in the morning - how better to start your day?
Cala Brandinchi is just a 15-minute drive from Hotel & Residence Porto San Paolo and Relais Fenicottero Rosa, just some of the fantastic accommodations we offer with our package holidays. This makes it the perfect location to enjoy a beach day, before heading back to your modern hotel and taking a refreshing dip in the pool.

Cala dei Gabbiani - #27 in Europe
Located on Sardiania’s East shore, Cala dei Gabbiani has certainly earned its spot as the 27th best beach in Europe. Also known as Seagull Cove, this idyllic stretch of sand and pebbles is one of the top must-see paradise beaches amongst tourists, and it is one bay up from Cala Goloritzé. The crystal-clear, tranquil waters make for an excellent snorkelling spot, with the limestone cliffs offering unique habitats for marine life. Cala dei Gabbiani’s secluded nature makes it slightly less accessible than your typical tourist beach, only reachable on foot by experienced hikers or via boat. It is certainly suited to those who prefer to discover their own hidden haven over the convenience of crowded shorelines. Remember to pack your own food and drink, as you won’t find any beach bars or restaurants here.

Cala Coticcio - #36 in Europe
Located on the island of Caprera, part of the breathtaking Maddalena Archipelago, at the northern tip of Sardinia, these islands are famous for their picture-perfect beaches and an abundance of coastline hiking trails. One of the most breathtaking hidden sanctuaries on Caprera is Cala Coticcio, celebrated for its towering pink granite cliffs that offer natural peace and privacy. Due to its relatively remote location, this cove is only accessible by boat or following the Cala Coticcio hike, a moderate to challenging downward-hill trail where hiking boots are a necessity. The lack of amenities along the beach and the hour-long trek to reach the shore are more than made up for by the untouched tranquillity, known only to those willing to seek it out.

Arutas Beach - #46 in Europe
Finally, we arrive on the west coast of Sardinia, where you’ll find Arutas Beach, an accessible yet blissfully quiet sweeping stretch of shoreline. What makes Arutas unique is its geological makeup which proves popular amongst photographers and nature lovers. Instead of the soft white sand typical of many other Sardinian beaches, Arutas’ shore is made up of tiny grains of pure quartz, resembling crushed crystal or granulated sugar. These rounded grains range from pink to green to white, delicately framed by the sparkling blue water. While sun-soaked and idyllic in summer, Arutas is also considered a perfect spot for surfers in winter, due to its deep shore seabed. We highly recommend you visit this geological marvel whilst in Sardinia, and enjoy the crunch of quartz beneath your feet for yourself. We have a selection of properties in Central Sardinia, and with a hire car, Arutas Beach can be reached with ease!
