Sardinia continues to appeal to the world’s rich and famous and this summer celebrities and royalty such as Geri Halliwell, Guy Ritchie and Prince Henrik of Denmark have all holidayed on the island. The Presidential Suite at the Hotel Cala di Volpe on the Costa Smeralda has just been named by Wealth Bulletin as the third most expensive hotel suite in the world, costing $34,000 a night.
The world’s most expensive suite is the four-bedroom Royal Penthouse Suite at the President Wilson Hotel in Geneva, Switzerland which costs $65,000 a night and the second most expensive is the Ty Warner Penthouse at the Four Seasons in New York City, which has a rate of $35,000 per night.
