"Sardinia has, for me, always been an island of contrasts: the craggy green mountains of the interior and the white and yellow sands of the beaches that fringe the coastline; the drama of the grey granite outcrops that seems to punctuate the entire island, and the intensity of the greens and blues that reflect from the surface of sea; and the contrast between the modern aspects of life in Sardinia such as the glamour of the Costa Smeralda, and the more industrial areas such as Sassari, and the ancient heart of the island with its rich heritage and traditions.
I was lucky enough to experience this sense of living history on a recent visit to Sardinia, at a village festa in Sant’Antonio in the northern part of the island. These occasions bring everyone from the local community together, and there is true party atmosphere with amazing Sardinian food and wine in abundance. What struck me most was the inclusive nature of the people, so warm and so ready to welcome us into their village and share everything they had.
We look forward to welcoming you to Sardinia and sharing our passion for this quintessential Mediterranean island.”
