Villa Tips
Sant' Efisio
For lovers of folklore and tradition our properties in or around Pula would be the perfect location in order to participate in the spectacular annual Sagra of Sant' Efisio. At the beginning of May, Sardinia celebrates the festival of Saint Efisio, a Roman soldier martyred at Nora during the Roman occupation. This is one of the biggest religious festivals in Europe and on the 1st May people from all over the island descend on Cagliari where dressed in their colourful traditional costumes they parade in their hundreds through the streets. Either on foot or horseback they are accompanied by extravagantly decorated wagons drawn by enormous oxen. The four hour procession escorts an ancient coach carrying the statue of Sant’ Efisio to the outskirts of Cagliari for the start of the four day pilgrimage to Nora. The towns of Sarroch, Pula and Nora host the 'Saint' throughout the journey and every evening music, dancing and fireworks bring the days' religious festivities to a close.
Lower Ground Skylight
There is a skylight window from the ground floor into the lower level of the property - Make sure it's free from any leaves, to maximise the level of incoming light.
Casa Stefania, a comfortable family home, has an enviable position close to several beaches, including the gorgeous sweep of Nora bay, and Pula, a thriving character-filled town of great restaurants and bars, is only 2kms away.
Though the house is in a group of six and not a detached property it does have a feel of privacy - the pool and garden are surrounded by mature trees and shrubs completely secluding it from neighbouring properties. The front garden is surprisingly spacious and lush with greenery including a fruiting pomegranate tree and flowering hibiscus. The pool area is alongside the house, fronted by a covered patio area for outside dining.
The house itself is on three floors, with the front door opening into the cosy living area and a small kitchen. Upstairs are the main bedrooms, both of which are comfortably furnished and have some sweeping views of the countryside and coastline. The third, and largest, level of the house is actually below ground and the main living area has ample soft furnishings, cool stone floors and whitewashed walls – perfect for escaping the heat of the day. This floor also houses a third bedroom and the main kitchen.
