Small and family run, Hotel la Playa is one of the friendliest and most welcoming hotels in Alghero offering simple comforts, genuine hospitality and excellent services. As soon as you arrive, your hosts will instantly make you feel at home and throughout your stay, they will always be on hand and go out of their way to ensure your holiday runs as smoothly as possible. The hotel is ideally located in central Alghero, 20 minutes’ walk away from the old quarter and the lively harbourfront, and only a few steps from the beach. The swimming pool area is appointed with plenty of sun loungers and parasols, and provides a relaxing retreat for those seeking to escape the sun and the bustling city for a while. There is a large choice of restaurants nearby but if you are looking for the best food in town, then we recommend you try the hotel’s restaurant on site which offers excellent home-cooked Italian cuisine and ample choice of wine. Hotel la Playa is a great base from which to explore the medieval city of Alghero and sample its array of stunning beaches; it is also in our opinion a great value for money option.
