The Gli Oleandri is a simple rural villa but its simplicity is its strong point – and because of the way it is lovingly cared for by its owners it has a real homely feel. Coupled with this is, there is the location: deep in the vineyards and olive groves outside of Alghero you get a real sense of the land, yet you’re not so remote as to be far from the beaches of the north west or the narrow streets of the old town itself...

The pool is huge; big enough to enjoy some games, so remember to take any lilos or balls etc.

Casa Eucalipti is just next door, so very convenient if you are travelling with family/friends but want the privacy of your own villa!

Villa Description

Gli Oleandri is a two bedroom independent villa with a pool set in the rural countryside around Alghero. It has the same owners as the next door Casa Eucalipti and is a haven of peace and tranquility.

This part of the north western Sardinia is wine and olive oil country and the area around Gli Oleandri is dressed in acres of winding vinelands and broad swatches of olive groves. This fertility extends to the grounds of the property too with squat pines, juicy medlars and banana plants in the private garden at the front which is lovingly maintained by the owners.

The pool area is spacious and catches the sun all day long and if you’re looking to escape the heat for a while there are covered terraces at each end of the property. The interior of the house is open plan and fairly compact but the whitewashed walls and light blue kitchen units add a real sense of freshness. The kitchen is well equipped and the dining area set in the conservatory is ideal for those long lunches and evening meals.

 Gli Oleandri is perfect for a peaceful, relaxing holiday and yet is also close enough to be able to enjoy the delights of Alghero.
