What We Think
Casa Lluïseta is a stone-built cottage set in its own sumptuous olive grove and is a perfect retreat for a couple looking for a peaceful romantic hideaway. The heart of the property is the open plan lounge, dining room and kitchen area – a good size space that manages to feel cosy at the same time and has a really authentic Sardinian feel. The bedroom, which is off this main room, is equally cosy and inviting and has a lovely view across the lime trees and cypresses to the pool beyond. Directly at the front of the property is the extensive terrace and barbecue area – perfect for sunlit meals and lazy evenings. The gardens are immaculate and full of traditional Sardinian flora including fruit-laden medlars and the near ubiquitous prickly pear cacti. The pool area is at the foot of the gardens and has a wonderfully private feel as it is surrounded by cypresses and laurel bushes. Lying here in the sun, which lays its soft light across the pool all day, you can hear the soft call of cuckoos in the olive trees in the hills beyond. With all this it might seem a shame to leave but the cobbled streets and fine restaurants of Alghero are only a few kilometres away...
