What We Think
The Grand Hotel Porto Cervo is an inviting prospect, a gentle mix of homeliness and quiet glamour, and is perfect for a relaxing beach and pool-based holiday. It is set in an enviable position just 100m from Cala Granu beach; and whilst it is a fairly large hotel, it doesn’t feel sprawling and has an air of real relaxation and tranquillity. The pool area is very alluring and enjoys some stunning views. It has a bar serving all day and some plush and exclusive-feeling relaxation areas that you could easily spend all day in. The beach bar is a real find too, with its glorious views, lunchtime snacks and spread of sunloungers. The hotel also boasts two excellent restaurants including the “Orange” restaurant, which is open to visitors and has a very good reputation locally. The hotel is also a great base for exploring the surrounding areas. Porto Cervo is around a 10-minute drive away, and whilst there is a fairly regular shuttle service from the hotel, we would recommend hiring a car to make the most of the area including the beautiful beaches along the coast and dramatic inland scenery.
