I loved this place and it’s one of my favourite properties! However, it’s hard to think of one word to describe this villa that will give it justification… ‘Incredible’ maybe?! As described in the brochure, it is a converted barn so modifications have been made but it has been done so well so it doesn’t feel as though any character has been lost. Attention to detail has been paid when facilitating this house with unusual and clever enhancements...

Villa Description

Set on the hillside of Pantogia, just five minutes drive from Porto Cervo, Villa Arian is a three bedroom property which exudes character and charm. Savin Couelle, the famous French architect, designed the country style house, which was once a barn and now converted into this stunning property. Although other residences are close by, the pretty gardens with an abundance of flowers, shrubs and rockery enclose the house and pool area allowing for privacy.
 
Many doorways and steps allow for a quirky layout, giving an open feel and pleasantly unique experience. The interior of the house is set across a tiered layout with the living room being the centre point. Small novel steps lead up to one bedroom occupying the entire upstairs level of the house. This bedroom with a low-level en-suite ceiling, is also accessible by exterior steps from its elevated terrace with wide and spectacular views over the Bay of Pevero, Golfo Aranci and as far as Tavolara.
 
Great effort has been made to ensure the villa keeps its air of authenticity and distinguished style, using a mix of Mediterranean white washed walls to an equally rustic theme showing bare stonewalls in the living room and master bedroom.
