Casa Qandra

This was our second visit to Casa Qandra and our experience...

A good price and a lovely wild location are the twin attractions here. Casa Qandra is a cute, low-rise house, surrounded by crags and woodland, and it’s only four miles from the beach. The owner lives next door and is happy to share the herbs and vegetables from his garden. Olbia airport is a 35-minute drive. View article online.

There was a real wow factor as you drive to Casa Qandra as you leave the coast and head inland into the mountains. The property is a lovely hideaway situated in really pretty grounds, which are well tended to by the property’s owner, Ugo, who lives next door. Ugo keeps himself to himself, but kindly leaves fresh fruit, vegetables, or herbs from the garden in a basket by your door...

If you prefer to relax and enjoy the peace then this is the property for you. The great thing about this property is that the pool area is not overlooked so you can bathe in privacy.

The thick walls make this a cool and airy property with stunning views of the surrounding areas. It is the perfect place to sit back, read your book and chill out. The gardens are well kept with plenty of shade, should you wish to escape the sunshine.

The owner, Ugo, lives next door along with his dog Milky, and is one of the friendliest people I have met. He is more than happy to help out with anything you need. That said, he will not intrude on your stay and generally keeps himself to himself.

For a romantic evening the terrace area outside the property is ideal for a meal and a glass or two of Sardinian wine. There are fantastic views of the sunset from here too, making the perfect end to a great day!
