What We Think
With such individuality and charm, this property is a one of a kind. Lu Triuzzu was built by the owner himself and constructed around an existing rock, which now forms the centrepiece to this unique villa. Set in an elevated position, the pool terrace enjoys panoramic views over the macchia-carpeted countryside and on towards the granite outcrops of the surrounding hillsides. Just next to the pool, an archway of climbing vines and flowers encloses the poolside shower whilst a large wooden table with a bamboo pergola divides the pool terrace and the summer kitchen. This backs onto a grassy lawn, which two of the bedrooms open out onto. Light pastel tones and warm complementary colours are used throughout the inside of the house with an interesting use of tree branches to shape and make interior light shades and shelving. An attractive feature – a juniper tree has been treated and left in its original position inside the main doorway greeting guests on entering, with lined spotlights acting as a divide from the open plan living, dining and kitchen area. A large prominent protrusion of rock creates part of the fireplace, dominating the main focus of the living area with decorative lanterns and flowers placed within a cavernous section of the rock. A unique property, providing high quality accommodation on the Costa Smeralda.
