This is almost a bit like what I would imagine Fred Flintstone’s house to be like, although an upmarket version! This house is really unique and the appearance of rock is apparent almost in every room, protruding out from the walls, making steps or forming the base of a cupboard etc. I think it’s great and makes this property completely unique – Love it! Definitely one of my favourites!...

Villa Description

With such individuality this property is one of a kind. The house was built by the owner himself, constructed around an existing rock which forms the centre piece to a unique property, complete with pristine workmanship and providing high quality accommodation.
 
The pool terrace enjoys an elevated position to take in the panoramic views of the rural surroundings. Just next to the pool, an archway of climbing vines and flowers encloses the poolside shower whilst a large wooden table with iron standing and shady bamboo covering divides the pool terrace and barbecue area. This backs onto a grassy lawn which two of the bedrooms open out onto.
 
Light pastel tones and warm complimentary colours are used throughout the inside of the house with an interesting use of tree branches to shape and make interior light shades and shelving. An attractive feature – a juniper tree has been treated and left in its original position inside the main doorway greeting guests on entering, with lined spotlights acting as a divide from the open plan living, dining and kitchen area. A large prominent protrusion of rock creates part of the fireplace, dominating the main focus of the living area with decorative lanterns and flowers placed within a cavernous section of the rock. A unique property, providing a fantastic hideaway retreat.
